For those that don’t know me, I love to push myself with sport and extreme challenges. Last weekend I turned my attention to ‘The Nuts Challenge’.
It’s fair to say I’m carrying a few injuries (back, ankle, knee) so I was just hopeful I’d complete the 14km course without finding new injuries to moan about or making my current ones even worse. I survived and what’s more ended up finishing 16th out of the 300 who competed that day and 25th out of 600 overall!
It was cold, wet and extremely muddy but looking back now I think I enjoyed it more than I did at the time.
I did say mid challenge that having done a few ‘Tough Mudders’ and some other local OCRs over the last few years that I would call it quits on those sort of events and concentrate on completing a few Triathlons this year, however after seeing the results and finally defrosting a few days later I’ve started to think I may just do another in the summer!
